Former President Barack Obama’s administration derailed efforts by the FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration to prosecute a Hezbollah crime syndicate over fears it would disrupt efforts to sign a nuclear deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Politico reports.
The Obama administration’s efforts included using elements of executive power like the Department of Justice and Department of State to quash efforts by law enforcement to drastically reign in Hezbollah operations. “They serially ripped apart this entire effort that was very well supported and resourced, and it was done from the top down,” an analyst on the law enforcement effort told Politico.

I am very skeptical about the motivation behind these sudden disclosures.
Why did USA law enforcement sources wait almost two years to leak this information?
And why did those sources leak to Politico, which clearly has a Hard Left political agenda?
My First Instinct - this is a first step effort by Hard Left “lifers” in the Department of Justice and FBI to deflect accusations that the DOJ and FBI are politically biased.
Let's not forget all the guns given to the Mexican cartels by the same administration. Or the secrets left open in unsecured servers for any one of our enemies to see. Or the Muslim access to our secrets at the congressional level, causing our own patriots to die.
There is no law or justice for these elite untouchables. It seems everyone with the power to punish them is so tainted they lack the courage. It's time to remember Jefferson's words about the tree of liberty.

These are not sudden disclosures. People have talked about this. The media refused to cover it in the past.
Why Politico would cover this now is a good question. Politico’s agenda has been to not tell the truth about the Obama administration. My guess is that Politico knew the story would come out anyway. They wanted the opportunity to report it.
This comes from former employees, not the current lifers. It documents the fact that the Obama administration was corrupt. It directly attacks Brennan, the DOJ and others. It does not deflect anything. Current employees refuse to comment or support the accusations.
The honest people in government are speaking out about the corruption. I think Trump is inspiring them to tell the truth.
He also sidetracked investigation into criminal Russian acquisition of American uranium, which undoubtedly Russia is diverting to Iran.
He needs to be flayed. Slowly.
My guess is that Pollutical wrote this to get ahead of the story to spin it — especially the last two or three paragraphs linking it to Putin.
I find it hard to believe Putin would be this stupid to knowingly be associated with this activity.
