In hindsight, the most important thing said this year came on Jan. 3. Chuck Schumer, leader of Senate Democrats, warned President-elect Trump he would pay a price for disputing intelligence officials findings of Russian meddling.
Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you, Schumer declared.
Schumer was right about a vendetta, but wrong about timing. Its now clear that intelligence officials already had started getting back at the next commander in chief.
They started in the summer of 2016.
In early August, Mike Morell, who was acting head of the CIA under Barack Obama, broke with agency tradition by entering the political fray to endorse Hillary Clinton.
He praised her as highly qualified and said Trump was not only unqualified for the job, but he may well pose a threat to our national security.

I peruse threads that relate Sessions. There is at least one other person who shares your views; if there are more I haven’t encountered them. The vast majority of conservatives, on this site as well as the others I visit, are beyond fed up with Sessions. My comments have been so mild compared to the average. Conservatives feel betrayed, as well they should. Sessions blindsided his own boss with that idiotic recusal. Sessions has singlehandedly done more to damage Trump than all the Democrats combined. He is a disgrace.
That’s only true if your most basic premise is correct—that Sessions is not solving all the problems in secret.
Maybe you’re right, maybe he’s not.
But if he is draining the swamp behind the scenes, then what you say is not true.
Note that Sessions didn’t have to be so secretive about going after ms13. But they’re a very important part of the swamp. Like other gangs were for CIA/FBI in the 60s. The swamp can’t own up to this, for obvious reasons so it could be done openly.
But don’t underestimate the advances he’s made for our country in taking out this slimy, horrific band of murderers and child traffickers. They were an important part of the plan for America’s domestic enemies.
Soon they will have nothing.
No, MS-13 is not the swamp. The swamp is entrenched, corrupt politicians, the D.C. DOJ, and the intelligence agencies. These are the ones Sessions is praising and supporting. The fact that MS-13 is not part of the swamp is exactly why Sessions arrested some of them. He wants to look like he’s doing something while he’s giving the swamp a good leaving alone.
Look, you can believe whatever you want. But please, please stop trying to convince me. I’m neither gullible enough nor sufficiently uninformed to believe Sessions is not protecting the swamp while he hangs Trump out to dry.
Enough.
I’m not trying to convince you, I’m merely correcting your flawed comments.
The creep state is much more than what you list. It also includes criminal gangs like ms 13 used to do their dirty work in perpetuating the larger, institutional level crimes like pedophilia, manipulation of finance and manipulation of public opinion. Manipulation of public opinion is also conducted through the use of operatives pretending to be journalists, and paid online trolls.
You have no idea what Sessions wants.
You are so confused, you don’t even know what the swamp is. No wonder you are fundamentally wrong about Sessions.
I don’t intend to read your next post. Keep your corrections to yourself.
I’d say the worst of swamp crimes, on a worldly scale, is the pedophilia and murder of children. Next is stealing from the people. Lying is part of the whole thing.
They are being defeated.
