“We’re all Christians here (generally speaking) and we talk all the time about lynching journalists.“

1. I do not. You may. I may feel that way at times, but I do not advocate or wish their death.
2. Putin has actually killed many.
3. “Thou shalt not kill.”
4. I doubt this man is one of Christ’s, based on His evil in the world.

So yes, I’m serious as a believer and follower of Christ.

“Thou shalt not MURDER” is the wording of the text.

A time to live, a time to die.
A time to laugh, a time to cry.
A time for peace, a time for war.
It also says there is a time to kill.

Perhaps you should read a little more scripture before you attempt to school me in it.

Putin supports the Russian Orthodox Church
Putin has killed people he believed to be enemies to the state. “Thou shalt not kill.” does not cover enemy combatants which is how Putin views them. We are not trying to get into bed with him but to share common interests fighting terrorists as an example. Overtime maybe the Russians will be more accepting of us and good relations will be possible, maybe not. But our shared
Christian values gives us a natural alliance and certain natural foes.
