Looking at him that way doesn’t make him our pal. It does make him some one we can do business with when the need arises.
A very good point. Comparing the political cultures between the USA and Russia is very unwise.
It should also be said, that despite the unusual norms of his country, Putin has killed far less people than the Bush’s or Clinton’s.
