Our Founders set up an adversarial system of checks and balances. We dont get to kill off the parts we dont like.

The press have an enumerated right, outside the government. The Founders thought this important.
Yes, some are traitors and arguably, most are deluded. The tattered Constitution remains.
The members of the press have the same constitutional rights of due process as we do - and as criminals do.
