Today at PCMA plant (Peugeot Citroen Mitsubishi Automotive) in the village of Rosva near Kaluga has started the production of on-frame Mitsubishi Pajero Sport SUVs. The start was late a little: originally release of Russian Sport was planned for November.
However, this model for the Kaluga plant is not absolutely new. Previous generation Mitsubishi Pajero Sport SUVs were assembled from 2013 to 2016 here, however with an coming of the SUV of present, third generation the company switched to direct import from Thailand again. And at first to us were delivered only petrol Sports, and diesel SUVs appeared in Mitsubishi price-lists only last spring. Then sales grew by 46%, and vehicles with the diesel now choose nine buyers from ten. No wonder that in Russia they started making only such versions petrol cars will still be import.

By the way, without waiting for SUVs of the Russian assembly, the Mitsubishi company started baiting clients in advance. At the end of September the prices of all trims of model were reduced by 200 thousand rubles, and literally in a week the term of a factory warranty was increased till five years or 150 thousand kilometers of run, and by the first two years without restriction on a distance in kilometers. But the main reason for that nevertheless not the Russian assembly, but entry into the market of the most strong contender the Toyota Fortuner SUV. Sports near Kaluga is promised by the beginning of production one more bonus: even in an initial trim of Invite with manual transmission there will be pressure monitoring systems in tires and keyless access, and also the button of start of the engine.
Mitsubishi Pajero Sport of the third generation became the second model of the firm which is built at RSMA Kaluga plant: besides, here still make the Mitsubishi Outlander crossovers. On Sports of the Russian assembly it is possible to judge great expectations of the company on that at the beginning of 2018 plant hires 440 new employees to enter the second shift.
