No, they really don’t care. If you come from the perspective that there is one uniparty with two not-really-competing factions, then whether or not faction R or faction D wins is irrelevant. Ultimately the uniparty wins. The uniparty is very good at staying in power.
Politics is not a force for good. It accomplishes little, and what what little it does comes at great cost. If we were to spend 1/5 the effort and resources we spend in politics instead doing what we’re told to do in God’s instruction manual, the world would be a remarkably better place.
