This violates property rights, people have the right to buy safety glass, and stand behind it on their own property.

What part of the US Constitution does this violate? Amendment 9 The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
. . . and arguably the 2nd Amendment as well. Wouldnt a shield be an arm purely for defense?
