Sen. Bob Corker To Vote 'Yes' On Tax Bill

Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), the final Republican holdout on the tax bill, is now planning to vote "yes" on the bill. Corker's office made this announcement on Friday, shortly before the final text of the bill was due to be released at 5:30 p.m. EST.

Previously, Corker said that he was concerned about the bill's effect on the deficit. Now, while he still does not think that this bill is perfect and he would have preferred to have reached a more bipartisan consensus on parts of the legislation, will vote for this "once-in-a-generation opportunity" to make businesses more competitive.

"This bill is far from perfect, and left to my own accord, we would have reached bipartisan consensus on legislation that avoided any chance of adding to the deficit and far less would have been done on the individual side with items that do not generate economic growth.

"But after great thought and consideration, I believe that this once-in-a-generation opportunity to make U.S. businesses domestically more productive and internationally more competitive is one we should not miss. [...]

With Corker joining Rubio in support of the bill, this all but assures its passage. Unlike Rubio, however, it doesn't appear as though any of Corker's concerns were taken into account to adjust the language of the bill.

What a self-serving Mofo Corker is.

He is, like Rubio, a me first and last kinda guy.

Cannot wait to hear about his funeral.

He will face the Lord and it won’t be pretty.

Literally, this is the last stand for Republicans to have a positive impact on the economic future of the American economy.

For those of you who seek perfection, perfect is almost always the enemy of good, which puts perfection in the same bracket as most other evils in this world.

LYING POS!!

The Budget and Tax Law are NOT related in any way, If congress would actually follow the constitution and produce a Real Budget every year instead of using reconciliation and baseline budgeting, then and only then would this lying pos have a valid argument. Until Then you should assume everything he says is a Lie.

If I were a Tennessean, I’d dare say I’d be looking forward to the day in which someone like Marsha Blackburn takes his seat. But McConnell probably would not want her in the Senate, eh?

If Trump would have run on eliminating income tax deductions for W-2 workers while letting corporations keep theirs, I would have been one of those people dragged out of his rally’s for protesting, and he would be saying “get him out”.

He also would have never won.

This is a complete betrayal and scam orchestrated by Goldman Sachs “Too Big To Fail” jewish Banksters Mnuchin and Cohn, who have devised a scheme to make it impossible for W-2 workers to mitigate their tax exposure in the same way that corporations can still do.

This is also unequal protection under the law, a 14th Amendment violation.

Got to hand it to Trump though, he just solved the deficit and the Social Security shortfall.

The amount of new revenue the scumbags in DC are going to bring in as a result of giving the W-2 suckers no place to hide is going to be ENORMOUS.

And he BEAT ISIS! .

This scam will be the end of his legislative accomplishments though, unfortunately.

Oh and my medical deductible is still up to $6,800 from $500 before Obamacare.

What started out with a lot of promise, ends up with one term and a communist majority in Congress and the WH that will last a generation.

But Goldman Sachs and the BANKSTERS got what they needed.

we would have reached bipartisan consensus...

Is there any scenario where a single 'Rat (other than perhaps Manchen) votes for this? Seems like the new normal is bills pass or fail with a vote the same as the # of R's versus # of D's.

Trump freakin’ lied when he campaigned. He said we were going to win so much that I would get tired of winning. He was wrong. Another politician that can’t keep a campaign promise. Bastard!

Corker is one of the biggest wannabes in the Senate. He has been in politics since 1995. He claims he made millions in construction. Supposedly, he was the master shopping center/mall builder in Chattanooga. This short punk fraud who claims in emails and other communications to TN Republicans that he was a builder equal to or as good as Trump only worked some 12 damn years in his so called empire building. I surmise he made 90% plus of his money from under the table bribes/kickbacks while working as a political appointee as the commissioner of Finance and Administration for the TN Gov. in 1995-6. After that job he suddenly bought the two largest real estate companies in Chattanooga. By 2000 he was mayor. Perhaps he financed himself with state money/kickbacks. Perfect profile of SWAMP RAT.

Trump ignored him after he voted no the first time. That got him over the hurdle

Clue me to what Trump lied about ? If your pissed about the tax bill, you might want to take a look at who your Congressman or woman is. Trump can't pass a single piece of legislation.

If anything, Trump wrongly assumed if he had the house and Senate, the Republicans would be 100% behind him.

Turns out, no surprise to me, that the Republicans and Democrats are one in the same. Smelly swamp dwellers bent on screwing ALL Americans except their friends.

You have 25 rats defending senate seats. Count how many come from red states and that’s how many rat votes will say yes. Now if republicans are smart, they get 1 a rat, they declare it is bi-partisan.
