WASHINGTON, DC — The U.S.-NATO coalition in Afghanistan has pulverized 25 Taliban labs used to process opium and its deadly heroin derivative, depriving the narco-jihadists of $80 million in illegal drug proceeds in the first three weeks of an unprecedented counternarcotics air campaign.
Since November 20, U.S. troops and their Afghan allies have been targeting the Taliban jihadists’ opium business in their Helmand stronghold, the top-poppy producing province in Afghanistan.

Despite more than $8.5 billion in American taxpayer funds devoted to combating the illegal narcotics trade in Afghanistan since 2001, the country remains the top opium producer in the world.

Think about it, in '75 the US had to face the fact that it couldn't control the Golden Triangle in Southeast Asia and the Deep State, especially the Intelligence machinery, had become heavily dependent on untraceable, unaccounted for, millions of dollars from being paid to transport opium and turn a blind eye to the heroin trade. Millions that over the years have become billions.
Lo and behold, one year later, one year, Zebignew Brazinski pushed a plan for the CIA to overthrow the government in Afghanistan and repeat the same control of the drug trade in the Golden Crescent that they had in Southeast Asia. That's several years before Brazinski approached Carter with his Vietnam equivalent for the Soviets. It was his way to market the plan already in progress so it could get a lot more support and so he could openly send aid and get the Saudis fully involved in the plan rather than the Saudis being marginally involved as they had been to that point.
The biggest drug addict in the US is the CIA and Intelligence Community which has been selectively enforcing drug laws in order to keep the people paying them protection money in business. The DEA fought it tooth and nail, but in the end the CIA for all intents and purposes took over the DEA tossing out the people who refused to go along to get along.

Because the heroin dealers in South East Asia wouldn’t pay up for protection, apparently they have now so the Afghan guys are out of the supply chain until they pony up more $$$.
They kill 100 times as many Americans with Heroin than they do with bombs.
The US does it also. Don’t forget the coke that came through to Bush and Clinton during Iran Contra.

The conspiracy theories about the drug trade are rivaling those of the Middle East about the Jews.
Here, I will start a new one:
The U.S. Intelligence agencies pushed the Afghans into opium production so that they would be come dependent on the drug trade.
Then, when the U.S. cut the money off, the Taliban would have to come to the negotiation table, or starve, because they had converted all their land to opium production.
Sounds like we’re wiping out the market competition in the geography.
Or at least making a small public show...
But do we still have a hands off policy for Afghan leaders raping boys?
Of course not, some of that money was being sent back to Washington, most likely in manilla envelopes.
These opiates have flooded our country and destroyed the lives of millions of Americans.
Obama forced America's military to sit on the sidelines and watch the Taliban thumb it's nose at them while the Taliban drug labs sent poison to America's streets.

And the pols in DC have been pocketing a lot of money from this illegal trade. That is why the War on Drugs is in its 46th year.
Yes, and the Court ended up ruling that it was all BS, someone else (they don’t say who) was controlling the heroin flow into Europe.
If they are running those fake IRS call centers leaving voice mails that this is the final notice before the recipients are sued then bomb those too. And if a few real IRS buildings are hit, that's just acceptable collateral damage.
It’s way past time to do this.
