LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Rep. Dan Johnson, who was under investigation for alleged sexual molestation, has committed suicide.
Bullitt County Sheriff Donnie Tinnell said Johnson shot himself on a bridge on Greenwell Ford Road in Mt. Washington, and the gun was recovered.

If someone is angry at you such a neighbor and wants to get their jollies all it takes is a call to a state agency to make your life a living hell for a long time to come and you have no power to clear your name or even know who has accused you.

His letter sounds like a dyeing declaration of a man whom simply had taken all he could take of a sum total of events.
If he was a Christian and had done the wrong accused of does it not make sense he would want it off his chest at least in the letter before he killed himself as a self punishment because he was guilty? One last thing it would also destroy his ministry, the trust of his ministry, which he had served. It would be more than a political issue at stake for him.
Once accused innocent or guilty in these time of internet how could he ever move on? Perhaps the reason there was no criminal charges was due to the accusation not fitting a forensic physiological profile as being truthful? We'll never know. That would be sealed. Yes in such cases involving sexual assault on a Juvie that profile exam is usually done and any criminal charges come from there as well as any physical evidence or witnesses. You'd think someone would notice a drunk preacher wouldn't you?
Tarasaramozart, I concur with your post. I think some folks on this forum should perhaps step out from behind their keyboard and monitor a little more often and have some positive person to person interactions with real human beings outside this virtual bubble.
I feel confident in stating that nobody who has posted in this thread knows whether the accusations are true or not. Yet anonymity seems to breed a self-righteous confidence that gives rise to outright crass belligerence.
How would any of us feel if it were us accused? How would we feel if it were our son, brother, father, grandfather? So far most of the accusations are hitting public figures that are in the abstract to us. However, if the trend continues, it may work its way down to people well-known to us, perhaps even close to us. Will we be so flippant about the outcome then?

Most 13 year old girls have started puberty, so, even using your own logic, men having sex with 13 or 17 year olds is pedophilia. Predators preying on 13 or 17 year olds are pedophiles. If you don’t believe me, just watch them suicide at the first light into their nefarious activities. If they go to trial, I’m sure pedophiles get their dues in prison.

I thought I made myself pretty clear. Somebody, who calls himself a Christian and a pastor no less, does not commit suicide over false accusations. Sounds like the guy’s skeletons were coming out of the closet. Remember, the simplest explanation is usually the right one. And it cannot get more simple than this.
