Nothing personal here, I know this is a hot button issue for you and I respect that.

But...yes.

You cannot legislate or punish individual behaviors out of existence. You can put in place laws, but laws are observed by law-abiding people break laws. Some people do it because they have a bad upbringing. Some people do it because they are just evil.

This is 100% proven in human history. Those things have been with us as long as we are human, and will be with us forever.

That kids bully other kids is not going to change no matter how much you punish kids or give them speeches, or make time out corners, or speak nicely to them.

So if a kid says something mean to another kid, deliberately excludes them from their birthday party and laughs about it, or throws a dodgeball exclusively at one single kid, there are idiots who want to define bullying down to that level, usually the same idiots who want to define sexual harassment down to those fine levels. And yes, they are almost exclusively liberals.

Liberals think they can prevent people from physical and psychological discomfort or harm, and they cannot. And it is imbecilic on their part to think they can.

Bottom line: You can work hard to keep your own kids from becoming bullies, but you can’t raise other people’s kids to do the same. Kids are kid, not adults, and we can’t treat them as such, as much as liberals want to give them full adult rights.

You are absolutely correct. Life even as an adult is really a mixture of Lord of the Flies and High School. Skills acquired dealing with bullies in childhood will help you deal with jag off bosses, co-workers, neighbors etc. Best to master these skills at an early age than flip out at age 45.

I never said it CAN be eliminated, as we will always have some of this sinfulness with us, but it can be GREATLY reduced by PROPERLY punishing kids/people in the right manner.

We do not properly punish anymore, so even if it is fitting a proper to have laws stating it’s a felony to murder or maim others (or their property - another example of dumbing down the punishment system since property violation often treated as unimportant these days), if we are not serious about it as to punish quickly and severely, those behaviors are enabled and continued.

It’s not liberal to have murder laws or assault/battery laws, OR theft laws. In fact, I’d say it’s very, very conservative. Moreso if the punishment system worked. I prefer swift and sure death sentences for many serious offenders.
