It is a reality that there are a significant number of conservative voters who will not vote for a candidate because of some moral consideration, even if the opposing liberal candidate is overall far worse. And that is not just in Alabama, but everywhere conservative voters exist.

So, how long do we stay this stupid? I'm sorry, but being a sucker for an obvious political hit that was a leftist lie is not a good reason to stay home.

You should read that twitter thread.

The left will continue to beat us if we don't change. Their capacity to be evil is almost uncontained. We need to understand how the enemy Alinskyizes us and how to deal with it. Alabama failed. It's how they win, it's who they are.

So, how long do we stay this stupid?

As long as anyone currently alive is likely to live. Some conservative voters just believe some political questions are are such important moral questions that they cannot vote for any candidate who answers the questions incorrectly.

And there is nothing anyone can do about it.

And Doug Jones will be a lame duck senator the instant he's sworn in. If the Republicans field any sensible candidate in 2020, Jones will have no chance of being reelected.
