Why? The following twitter thread is bitter, but absolutely true. Alabama fell for a political hit, and elected a far left asshole who stands against everything, everything they stand for. They let unsubstantiated lies keep them from doing what they should have done, which was to keep Doug Jones and his evil ilk out of the Senate.: https://twitter.com/ThomasWictor/status/940853280414027776
Wrong. For years, Roy Moore has had just enough support among conservatives to win a primary for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and then win a general election against a Dim. But he had lost badly in two gubernatiorial races and squeaked by in the Republican primary, special election for senator.
His support has been thin for years in statewide elections and many conservatives do not like Moore, and that was the case well before the sexual misconduct allegations arose.
I voted for him yesterday only to try and keep a Dim from winning the seat, but that is the only reason I voted for him. There were many who voted for Moore for similar reasons, but not enough. Moore was, and always has been a very flawed politican and it's unfortunate that a confluence of odd events allowed him to become the Republican candidate for senator.
Moore's own flaws and Mitch McConnel are the reason for Moore's loss.
