The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!
Exactly right ..this is not a time to get sloppy when picking insurgent candidates . We need to tighten our game even if it means a compromise with McConnell in certain races ..there is too much at stake to lose majorities over an incompetent insurgency ..hope Bannon realizes this ...
But even if our candidate is less than ideal, you still need to fight like Hell for him.
Again , i’m not speaking to the accusations .. my point is that the Moore campaign was woefully inept ..a semi-skilled operation could have won this election regardless of the accusations ...we need to have much better and bulletproof candidates for the Bannon insurgency and only in safe seats ... good vetting and a little homework/ oppo research would serve the insurgency well

Alabama was a ‘sure thing’ and we all thought that Sessions was a stand-up guy. Neither were true.
This is bad, but it’s a freak election IMO. A one-off like Scott Brown In Massachusetts. The GOP is still going to gain senate seats in 18...a lot of them. But this is damn depressing. I’m astounded to see Moore was on vacation for most of this last week ? Really ?
It was a “rookie mistake” on Trump’s part. Guarantee he won’t do that again.

That is still a mystery to me. Jeff Sessions doesn’t have the balls for the job under Trump or any other president. Supposedly did well for Thrump’s campaign but to recuse himself from the Russia investigation right out of the gate was chicken poop and he’s done little else in the past year. Sessions shows up for the public reporting of drug gangs being taken when the investigations have been going on long before his entourage arrived. Sessions lambasts the sanctuary cites but does nothing else. I don’t know who would do a better job but I also can’t imagine a less effective AG.
Of course if not for Bannon, for all we know, Moore could have lost even worse. Knowing what I know about Moore, I am actually amazed he came as close as he did. One or two things here or there, and he should have pulled it out.
I’ve been working on Joe for years. Every time I think I’ve got him convinced that he’s really a Republican he up and does something stupid. Ya’ll need to work on him too. He’s a Christian and he’s not comfortable doing the things that democrats do. It’s a WV thing. “Daddy was a Democrat” and family is sacred when it comes to politics. He just needs some gentle shoving or a knot on his head.

He took Sessions out of the Senate because he (falsely) that Sessions seat was safe in Red state Ala.
