The big thing was that smear campaign worked perfectly and people all over the country bought the story the media was selling and put enormous peer pressure on the people of Alabama to walk away from Roy Moore.

Moore did not do enough to help himself, but what can you do when you are outspent by at least 14 to 1 and probably more like 20 to 1 and your own party cuts out all support.

At the end of the day, the Democrats had a huge get out the vote operation that saw close to 7 million bucks being pumped into street money in the last 48 hours while the Republican Party did absolutely nothing to help Roy Moore - they cut off all funding and actually ran a negative get out the vote effort to encourage Republicans to stay at home and not vote rather than do everything possible to get them out to the polls.

Absolutely no Republican Party official ground game to speak of in Alabama to get out the vote in a crucial national election where Republicans hold a slim 2 seat majority in the Senate.

Democrats pulled out all the stops and in the last 48 hours before the election spent close to 10 million bucks, about 20 dollars in Get Out The Vote in walking around street money for each Democrat vote cast , while Republicans spent about 40 million dollars leading up the election to suppress their own voters before election day and not a penny on GOTV efforts to help Roy Moore get elected on election day.

Jones had very high levels of voter turnout and Republican voters took their cue from the Republican Party leadership and the media and stayed home.

They either bough the bogus sex predator line or they did not want to embarrass Alabama in front to the nation by sending “a guy like that” to Washington.

That’s what killed Roy Moore’s chances.

Newt Gingrich had it right, Republicans were killing themselves in a civil war while the Democrats were cutting a fat hog laying low and keeping their radical candidate under the radar screen.

Hope the losers in the Republican Party like what they have worked hard to achieve. Even people like Laura Ingram railed against Roy Moore and were delighted when Moore went down, because they let one of the most radical candidates for Senate smear and beat good man in a state like Alabama

The only silver lining out of this is that the smear campaign worked so well Moore’s election could have had a very negative effect on the 2018 mid term elections.

As it is, voters may figure out they have been had and express their displeasure in 2018.

And that will cost the GOPe dearly in 2018. Conservatives are going to stay home and the GOP will lose seats when they should have had a massive pick up. This is a McConnell victory and the Uniparty will celebrate its victory over the people. Now with its proven weaponized sexual harassment club, the Uniparty will turn immediately to trying to beat Trump to death and completely stop the MAGA agenda.
