Has anyone cracked Numbers stations?
One of the joys of HF is it is hard to DF.
On a QSO she will be talking about Nanas pancreas
Criminals and conspirators don’t generally adhere to rules.
It's possible. And they wouldn't be the first spies to use amateur radio frequencies.
And that old technology is now surprisingly high tech depending on the mode used etc. Amateur radio operators now can access remote transmitting antennas located in much more optimum locations. And Ham has gone digital etc...You're probably aware of all this but if not, fyi.
“Ohr” is German for ear... LOL
Modern digital rigs can log contacts automaticly
HAM is the peoples radio wave but yes the Government monitors it,
Canada is very lax on enforcement. SA even more so.
Iraq and Iran come into my part of Tx on the Grayline at Sunrise and Sunset.
When the sun is setting there and rising here E and F fields act kike A waveguide in the upper atmosphere

We would all be talking “stepping” on everyone without regulation Sounds like facecrook. LOL
LOL!
IF people think that Mueller and his gang can convict a ham sandwich, then it should be easier for AG Sessions and his posse to convict a “ham radio operator” who was trying to evade FBI/CIA surveillance re the Steele Dossier conspiracy.
Mrs. Ohr, you want mustard on that ham?
Interesting !
Interesting !
Who says the code has to be obvious? All it needs to be is a boring conversation about yoga pants.
Well, now that you mention it, there were some threads during Obama's reign on numbers stations suddenly going active again. Wonder if there's a connection.
As far as I know no one has decoded them. It is possible that the alphabet agencies have done it but not made it public. Many HAMs with crypto experience have tried. I think they broadcast mostly garbage to clutter stuff up.
Very difficult to code information into daily type conversation structure.
The only link I never proved is that when SA number stations went active there was often a major drug bust in SA the following day.
Of course numbers stations have worked out of Russian and European countrys in the past.
Now its always a computer generated female or child in spanish
Are logs of on-air contacts kept?
Most do just for points / credit.
Do most new licensees have an initial flourish of activity?
Often, since you’re getting into a new hobby.
Does anyone have noted radio contact with her?
No ideas.
Are HAM ops generally big or small government types?
Tends toward conservative both young and old.
