Two states is insane. It creates a Palestinian nation with an army where the west bank is. That brings almost all of Israel into rocket range.
One state is insane. It incorporates the West Bank into Israel and makes Palestinians into Israeli voters...and they breed like flies. Israel dies in 3 or 4 years.

The ONLY answer is the status quo of today. Israel is a nation. The West Bank remains forever as an occupied territory run by the IDF. Neither fish nor fowl. It doesn’t get independence, or citizenship within Israel.

It remains thus until the Palestinians prove beyond any doubt that they have ended the hostility. Realistically that means forever.

I would say annex Judah and Samaria, give Ghaza back to Egypt. Give the Palestinians there the option of applying for citizenship, which they get if they have no terror ties, but only if they want it. And have Shin Bet circulate a whispering campaign that it’s a disgrace to apply for citizenship in the “Zionist Entity”. That set-up has preserved the Jewish majority in Jerusalem for generations.

Also, about Palestinians breeding like flies, that’s a myth perpetrated by the PA’s bogus demographics. Jews are breeding more, Palestinians less, and that’s a long-term trend. Also, a one-state solution would bring Bethlehem and Beit Jaaleh and other Christian enclaves back under IDF protection, so the campaign to drive Christians out through extortion, persecution and land theft will be at an end, and Israel would have three population blocks that are friendly to Israel’s rule, Druze, Bedouins and Christians.

The Pali hostility that you see a lot of on TV is staged for the MSM, for that matter, and in real life the Palestinians prefer to work for Jews, because the pay and the treatment is better. Really, they’ve thrived since 1967. Israeli officials are more fair-minded, less corrupt and less power-hungry than their PA counterparts, and the Palis prefer to live under Israeli rule.

Two states:

Israel includes all of Judea and Samaria.

Relocate all Arabs from Israel to Gaza.

Gaza becomes Palestine.

Dome of the Rock is razed to the ground and Temple is rebuilt.

The only long term answer, is something nobody wants to talk about: expelling all muslims from Israel. Every single one. Convince every Muslim to emigrate, by whatever means necessary.

Not exactly. Israel insists that any state in the WB be demilitarized. It will have internal security forces (police) but no armies, no tanks, no missiles, no fighter jets etc.

More exciting though is the rumor that the Saudi crown prince is working a deal where the Palestinians will get a 99 year lease on 1500-2000 sq miles of land in the Sinai desert. It will annex to make a “greater Gaza strip” 3x-4x larger than it is now. Palestinian refugees and those leaving the overcrowded strip would resettle there. They would also get some of the West Bank land too and combined that will make up the new Palestinian state. but Israel would annex a lot of the WB too, to obtain strategic defensive depth.

A couple coincidental political issues. 1) Saudi just bought 2 Egyptian islands in return for investment into Egypt gas industries. Egypt needs investment money and has a hard time defending itself in the Sinai because it is very sparse, and 2) Saudi leads the blockade of Qatar. Qatar was the main funding source of Palestinian Hamas until the blockade. Now Hamas is weak, and the Egyptians always hated Hamas because it is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood which causes terror and strife in Egypt. Egypt could come off looking the hero leasing land to a future “Palestine” and also raise a lot of cash it needs for the economy.

The Arab states have modern day issues to address and can no longer afford to let these old petty grievances prevent progress. Namely, the Saudis and Israelis have mutual problems with Iran and also need to coordinate against ISIS. They need the Palestinians to settle down and focus on what is important - a state, resettle refugees, trade, jobs, prosperity etc not continued conflict.
