Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, who was reportedly scheduled to testify behind closed doors in front of the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday, will instead meet next week due to a "scheduling error," Department of Justice officials told Fox News.
McCabe’s testimony was likely to, at least in part, focus on Peter Strzok’s role in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
Strzok is a former deputy to the assistant director at the FBI who was removed from Special Counsel Robert Mueller's staff after Mueller learned Strzok had exchanged anti-Trump texts with a colleague.
House investigators previously told Fox News they have long regarded Strzok as a key figure in the chain of events when the bureau, in 2016, received the infamous anti-Trump “dossier,” which launched a counterintelligence investigation into possible Russian meddling in the election.
“This was a routine scheduling error after the dates were switched on an internal email that we are happy to provide the committee,” a Justice Department official told Fox News. “The FBI regrets the error, and we look forward to making both witnesses (the alleged FBI handler for Christopher Steele and McCabe) available prior to the Christmas recess."

Schiff’s neck was caught canoodling with other pencils in various Congressional offices.
According to him, this one will be bigger, and more awful, than Conyers.
Some have speculated that it may be Schumer. Apparently, there's a story floating around that he was involved with an underage cheerleader... but to be fair, it's not a story I can believe.
We'll have to see what the papers say tomorrow, if anything.
One thing I will say about Deep State, they are a bunch of arrogant sons-o-bitches. First one who gets a 20-year reservation in the grey bar hotel may encourage the others, but not much less than that will now suffice. These people are our ruling class and they're not reluctant to remind us.

Yes. I hope he does order him to appear. If McCabe refuses, and Trump fires him, how could the Congress object?!? Very good idea.
IMO McCabe is already the subject of a criminal investigation.
No, I saw that “Schumer and the cheerleader” item, it was from a satirical blog that mocks conservatives. A lot of people are circulating it, but it is crap (at least in the version I saw). I don’t put anything past these dirty ‘Rats but that particular story was like The Onion but designed to make conservatives look bad for pursuing it.
WOW, well that one I like! Only rumor right now, but what a fun rumor.....
