Well.....that escalated quickly....

That used to be a 1 hr flight. But anymore you have to check in 1-2 hours early and once you get past security you can’t go back out without a load of hassle so that one hr flight has turned into at least 2 but usually longer. And if the plane is late or slow boarding you can add more time.
The time is why I hate flying now. I remember when you could check in 15 minutes before boarding and just get on the plane.

I am very allergic to cigarette smoke. If I had been subjected to even a whiff of that garbage, I would have been enormously irate at the perp. Would have wanted to stuff lit cigarette down her throat for causing me such physical distress. And for doing the same to probably numerous people on the flight for her own selfish needs.

I remember the old tobacco company ads that stressed the civility of smokers and that OF COURSE they would extinguish their cigarette if asked to do so.
