Most of these football players have been protected most of their lives for their football ability. Their grades in grade and high school were usually not the best, but they COULD PLAY FOOTBALL and bring in some dollars for the schools. THEN came college, where they didn’t have to excel in their studies, but that was ok because they could bring in BIG BUCKS. Those picked for the NFL, were the cream of the crop, and they brought in even bigger bucks for the football owners and the nfl. Now we see just how important these ball players are....the nfl and owners are kneeling to the dslike these ball players have toward the country that has allowed them to break laws and live a lifestyle they only dreamt of while growing up. Now they are telling Americans they will do as they wish, again, by disrespecting this country. Where else in the world can these men can make the money and lifestyle by throwing a ball around an arena?
I took a knee on the last couple of Super Bowls and will continue to do so. I have not watched a Pro Bowl in several years because of the way that had been turned into a joke by Goodell.
Excellent and astute observation.
It is going to be very interesting when it comes time for people to buy season tickets for next year.
Since the resale market has gone in the toilet, a lot of people will not be able to afford season ticket packages.
That is when the owners will really start to feel the bite.
Gee, it seems the fans have the power.
Unfortunately, more do not use this power against the Left Media Cartel.
Falling ad rates and makegoods argue lots of folks are tuning out.
The NFL has and could survive being hated.
It can’t survive contempt and derision.
And it looks like the NFL is determined to learn that the hard way.
Goody.
That’s what I’ve been seeing too. I hope the numbers support that view.
I have watched the Superbowl every year since the Dolphins beat the Redskins at the end of the ‘72 season.
I will be missing the Superbowl this year for the first time since I was a kid. The NFL is over for me. I will not be coming back.
They are going to try to do the Patriotic Hoo Haa, with flags all over the place and a military flyover, and it will all be an obvious, pathetic lie.
The Commander in Chief should forbid a military fly-by, or dispatch a few T-6A Texan IIs flying in very loose formation.
This “Prof” is typical of the Troglodytes “running” our School systems especially University.
Our schools are resplendent with young Graduates with No skills.
Most of whom owe HUGe Debt due to the Usless Educators in these “Schools”,
I have seen reports that people way down on the waiting list for season tickets being contacted about being at the top of the list, now and solicited to order their tickets.
That's what you wipe after you take a Krapanick
More than stadium attendance you are spot on to point out the real threat to the NFL and that’s declining ad revenue because of declining viewership. Once they are forced to “makegood” with free commercial spots, the death spiral will be noticeable.
Those tickets were already bought at face value and are being hawked online to get rid of them.
Remember when the NFL used to show attendance and no-shows as real numbers? Now they just post attendance as tickets sold.
The real indicator of NFL league revenue/attendance will be next year in season ticket sales.
A true current indicator now would be revenue/attendance at sports bars.
I made beef jerky yesterday and never even thought of the NFL. I don't even miss the games anymore.
I, like so many others, actually used to care if "my" team won or not. It's been years since I've cared, and now I can hardly be bothered to watch any games if they are interesting and exciting. I put the Rams/Eagles game on yesterday, muted it, and watched on/off while I did chores.
Even with an exciting, hard fought game, the lack of of emotional investment and just merely watching an interesting contest is the true long term threat to the NFL. We all know what the actors (athletes) really think, and it's that tribal gulf that divides supporters from the teams.
The NFL’s problems are more than just the anthem. I think the anthem protests opened people’s eyes to the management and overall attitudes of the NFL.
The NFL is going to respond with over-the-top “salutes to the military,” police, and firemen, but people have been “woke” as the left likes to say.
I must admit that I watched that game. It was one of the most entertaining NFL games I have seen in a long time. No holding penalties, or penalties on punts/kickoffs.
I don’t watch or follow or understand Football, so let me ask this question: Is this fake news (for example, it happens this time every year due to cold weather, holidays, etc. and the attendance goes down), or is this out of the ordinary?
If you’re a man and wear a jersey with another mans name on it, you are nothing but a useless CUCK.
