NYPD responds to report of explosion at Port Authority Bus Terminal

MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) — The NYPD is responding to reports of an explosion of unknown origin at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan.
The A, C and E lines are being evacuated at this time.
What police sources describe as a possible pipe bomb detonated in a passageway below ground at the Port Authority.
One person is in custody. Only a few injuries have been reported.
It happened in an MTA passageway at the terminal at 42nd Street and 8th Avenue.
Streets are being closed in the vicinity of the terminal.
I was just in that station the weekend before last.
I really don’t like New York, and I detest using the subway system, but...what are you gonna do, take a darned cab?
Can’t assume the episode is OVER yet.... sometimes terrorists use one incident to create distraction for more attacks....
