To: Alas Babylon!
Agriculture on those Eastern states went away (not entirely, nor never will, but not like it was!) and the land has grown back to forest.

Exactly. We have a tree every square foot, except in towns or where cleared. And we still have barking moonbats trying to "save the forests".....geeesh!

When I was stationed down on Otis on Cape Cod, I used to see these town logos on the city trucks there in the various New England towns.

I remember a few had scenes like a farmer at the plow, or a person building something, and not a tree in the background. Just stone walls and fields. I remember one had this big ole hill, Blue hill outside Boston, and not a tree on it. As I’m passing the truck on Rte 128, I see the logo, and then the hill. It’s the same hill! But the real one’s thickly forested. Same outline though.
