Well, the article states there never was an “olde” hickory house but here’s a link to twitter with a “supposed” newspaper ad that contradicts that claim.

I used the article because it had a pic of the signature,and it was clear to view! I have no idea about Olde Hickory House, and no matter if it existed, it should have been better known if worthwhile, as very few people remember it. The idea it was next or part of a motel means it was low key/not used as much or food wasn’t that great...people would remember!

I lived in PA and there was a restaurant called R & S on Rt 309, and anyone who has been there remembers it! It was a diner, plain and simple. Same time frame in 1970s, and sadly gone, when I went back to visit I was sad to see that!

If Roy Moore would have ate at Olde Hickory regularly, as she claimed, it would be a significant restaurant for the food, etc....not something easily forgotten!
