My dad was a retired LCDR. He used to put on his old uniform to watch the game. Me, well, the Marines are a Department of the Navy. The Mens' Department!
Yeah, that's an old joke. My dad died before I enlisted, but I can just imagine the conversations...

God bless and hold your Dad close and dear. My precious Dr. O played for Navy, (class of '58 the great) and loved watching this game, so now I watch and now I feel free to root for Army (my Dad served in the Army during WWII) because as a native San Diegan, I like the underdogs.
