Rural, north central Florida on our cattle farm is a great place to live.
Except for the insects, critters and high humidity. :-)
I'm from Arizona and tolerate the dry heat much better than this climate. We had Canadian "snowbirds" show up there every winter too.
We didn't have snow here but we had windy conditions with cold rain all evening and half the night. Chilly today with a freeze expected tonight and Sunday night then warm back up some.
I wouldn't live in any of the Florida cities myself. Miami? Ha! Never been there and never will. Orlando-Tampa? Took the kids to Disney World there 30 years ago but never again. I like the beaches but I haven't been since we retired here 7 years ago. Too busy on the farm.
I like the country away from the big cities and towns. Where much of what we discuss on FR, especially the politics, doesn't affect us. It's like living in another world.
I'll be right down.
