Eggzactly.
It’s a deliberate tactic.
I have listened and attempted to talk to democrat voters. They believe the first thing they read or hear when CNN or the WAPO, NYT, NBC ABC CBS runs it.
They do not read the body of the article. They simply see, hear and obey. Attempting to clarify, correct or dissuade is neigh impossible.
I can’t tell of the many times I have tried. One woman asked me, “Where do you get this stuff? I haven’t heard about this?”
She ONLY and exclusively watches MSNBC for “news.”
She says she has to watch Lawrence (as if she’s on a first name basis with the O’Donnell creature) to get the truth.
All anti-Trump, of course.
Most in my group read everything from The Economist to Asian outlets and everything in between since the American media is so hopelessly compromised by DNC propaganda.
I’ve got the in laws visiting. Their first question was ‘What channel is CNN on your dish?’ :(
So I’ve had to endure snippets but have mostly stayed out of the room. I notice that *everything* is BREAKING NEWS. Giant all caps red letters everywhere. The ‘crawl’ and the banners cover up fully half the screen area - a tacit admission that their bogus viewership numbers are based on hapless travelers passively watching in airports and who must rely only on visuals.
Chuck Schumer could be found standing over a dead body with a knife in his hand and CNN would run BREAKING NEWS that a GOP Congressional page had run copies without filling the paper tray.
It’s like bizarre performance art except the po-faced anchors and the drama queen panelists don’t know it’s a pantomime.
