That picture was the end of Franken. As long as he’s around, Republicans will gleefully use it in endless negative ads. That can’t be allowed. He serves the Dems no useful purpose, so he’ll be gone by Jan 1.
That’s short term - Trump came close there, they’ll want to try to make sure.
