When I was in Nam under LBJ in 66-67 I was under the clear impression it was McNamara, Cliford, etal calling from Ivy League Campuses in the NE just after lunch with Henry.
I never heard that it was LBJ in TX.
I was at Cam Rahn Bay when LBJ came in 1966. (I was a civilian then)
