Mattis must not have quite had things together by then. Obama left the military in “Tatters” after all.
That, and the fact that the fat convoy target which was not attacked happened in 2016, when Mattis certainly did not “have things together.” Obama still being in office and all . . .
Bottom line is this admin has done more in less than a year than previous admins did in 4 eight years.
