We just got off the phone with my brother-in-law in Farmington.
His daughter works in Aztec and I don’t think her son is going to school there now. They are monitoring the situation.
He says the school had metal detectors and very good security and can’t figure how the shooter got a firearm into the school.

But then, I remember how students used to find all ways to do things behind the teacher’s backs back in the 1960s.

Las time I picked up a granddaughter from there, an Aztec Police cruiser was parked there in a marked parking spot and the school resource officer from Aztec PD was assigned full time to the school, same as the Farmington high schools. They haven't reported yet if shooting was inside a building or outside. Guess stashing a gun outside could foil having to go thru the detectors. No telling how long till the full scenario is made public.
