The next “Civil War” will not be a war between the States but a military action against DC and Congress by the Marines/Army led by Staff Officers with or without the buy in of the POTUS, who EITHER STANDS WITH THE CITIZENS OR STANDS WITH THE WASHINGTONIANS.
Since it’s evidently clear that the WASHINGTONIANS are OUT OF CONTROL and answer to NO ONE, odds are that this scenario should and could happen any day now.
I would say state secession is a real possibility. A combination of military coup and several states seceding. More likely.
