Of course it's ridiculous, especially considering the character of the inquisitors - but this obviously is not about, can't be about, Roy Moore.

A caller to the Mark Levin program had a great question:

If CNN is reporting that 32 Democrat Senators are calling for Al Franken to resign, why doesn't Mitch McConnell call for an expulsion vote now, since they are on record saying they have the required two-thirds to make it happen?

Why wait for "the coming weeks" for Franken to take his time about it? Why not check to see if these Democrats have the resolve to follow through on their words with an expulsion vote now?
