The smart DemonRats are scared because they know this election is the prototype for a lot more and Moore is actually the Trump surrogate they have tried to make him. If Moore wins, the whole bogus sexual irregularity attack strategy they have used on him and Trump is discredited. Even more, waffling GOPe types will see they have no hope but to support Trump, killing any hope of impeachment. Finally, a Moore win will be a massive popular endorsement for Trump and his policies that proves even 10 to 1 anti-Trump spending and near total GOPe opposition won’t work against him.
This Moore election is really the hill for any Trump supporter to stand on and die to defend. Moore is Trump and Trump is Moore.

In a lot of ways they are very, very close. They are both strong men that fight fiercely for what they believe in. And they seem to believe in US, the American people. Not their self serving political cronies.
