Scary. I first noticed an article about the fire when they said it burned "100 acres". An hour later when I refreshed the page it said "5,500 acres." Yikes.
Just heard the entire city of Santa Barbara lost power at the same time as did Santa Paula.

Yep. Many trapped calling for help. Vehicle accidents. One truck came across three burned vehicles in the middle of the road. Unable to find occupants. Having to wait for the vehicles to cool down enough to drag out of the way. Blocking others exit.

Crud! IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH, HAVE A PLAN, FOLKS, HAVE A PLAN! Begin packing or start a pack list now. This is fast. Do not wait. We lost people in vehicles here in Oct. It is so much quicker than you can imagine and you are going to hit traffic as others flee.

They are talking about it impacting Hall Canyon. That is above Ventura. This may reach the ocean before dawn.

Dispatch is prepping to be in Ventura. Very fast. The Ventura Dispatch site says 9500 acres involved, possibly 45,000 by morning.

Just heard the entire city of Santa Barbara lost power at the same time as did Santa Paula. We lost power here in Thousand Oaks for about 90 min. Lights still flickering.

Traffic jammed all along Foothill to Ventura. Best evac routes are south, generally speaking. Just said their priority is evacuation, not fighting, Evacing Ventura.

Yep. Definitely in Saicoy. Ignition points in Ventura. If anyone needs someone to monitor dispatch all night and text info, I can do that.

Yep. If it isn’t closed, you do not want to be on it. Supposedly Foothill is slammed all the way from Paulo through Ventura.
