A prominent Kentucky disability attorney at the center of a more than $500 million Social Security fraud case, who became the subject of a massive manhunt after he vanished months ago, has been captured in Honduras, officials announced Monday.
Eric Conn was captured by a SWAT team as he came out of a restaurant in the coastal city of La Ceiba, the Honduras public magistrate’s office said in a news release . The office added that the arrest was “the product of arduous intelligence, surveillance and tailing by the agents.”
U.S. federal agents spent months tracking Conn, who cut off his electronic monitor in June. The attorney was on home detention while awaiting sentencing, but he disappeared while in Lexington, Kentucky, at the permission of federal authorities to meet with his attorney and prosecutors.

About a year ago I read a long essay in one of the major magazines, maybe New Yorker, about an embezzler from one of the southern states who completely vanished with a large sum of money.
His initial plan was brilliant...
He hiked up and down the Appalachian Trail for several years, staying briefly, but regularly, in the many hotels and inns close to the Trail.
As is usually the case, he managed to talk his way straight back to jail.
He was very social and became very well known, under an alias, to many of the people associated with the Trail.
Eventually, someone phoned in a tip, the Feds staked out a number of his favorite hotels, and caught him.
For my part, he should be summarily executed.
Eric Conn will never be an ex-conn.

1. Secure your money offshore where it can not be traced. Those people will take a cut and that is their business and that is why it can not be tracked.
2. Get new papers and passports and that can be bought.
3. Walk across the border to Juarez Mexico. No papers needed.
4. Fly to Columbia and take a bus south to Cali which is a most lovely place.
5. Rent or buy a small apartment and enjoy the most beautiful women in the world.
