Who would want to buy a rusty old rattletrap 1911 that has been through hell and back when you can just go buy a brand new Glock?

(I would!)

Or a brand new 1911.

Some of us are collectors and enjoy the History but the 1911’s I hade in the military in the early 80’s were rattle boxes LOL

Through hell and back? Fighting Philippine rebels. Pancho Villa. The trenches of WWI, The South Pacific Islands and the European theatre in WWII, Korea, Vietnam? And protection of American bases worldwide till replaced?

To hell and back? Yes, history. That’s why.

Might be some decent ones in the lots - I have a 1911 that was manufactured in 1914 in the Springfield Armory - collector’s item but a sweet shooter even today.
