While I agree with much of what she is saying, she doesn’t know psychology and the proper use of psychological terms which have specific professional definitions.
While my primary research is neuroscience of consciousness, I have attended many psychiatry training programs on narcissism and although I do not use it, also have a degree in psychology.
Narcissism is an individual attribute, not a group attribute. What she speaks of is social psychology, including group conformity norms, just as exists in gangs.
Thus, while I do not agree with her use of terminology, she has many valid points and I enjoy her lecture.
My wife is an MD psychiatrist with 30 years on the faculty at a medical school, thus I personally have been lectured many many times on the misuse of specifically defined medical terminology.
