That’s the impression I got also. But I think the mother had to know. She may have done it, who knows, but at the very least, she had to know her boyfriend drove her dead 3 year old 25 miles away in the middle of the night. I mean, where did she think he was? Getting a soda from a convenience store in the middle of the night? IF she didn’t have something to do with this child’s death, she knew what happened.
