I wish I could be as optimistic as some of you about the NFL’s impending demise. Sure their ratings are off by 10% or so but the NFL is still, by far, the most popular show on television.
Even some members of my own family who I consider to be sensible people continue to get together every Sunday to watch and root.
With this new funding program, the NFL has just shifted their activism into overdrive. Yet most people are going to look at it as the owners having acted to protect the anthem and quell the protests. But what’s happening is exactly the opposite!
Watching the NFL die, is actually quite exciting. Am I sadistic?
