According to the charging document, those false statements were that:
"On or about Dec 29, 2016, FLYNN did not ask the Government of Russias Ambassador to the United States ... to refrain from escalating the situation in response to sanctions that the United States had imposed against Russia that same day; and FLYNN did not recall the Russian Ambassador subsequently telling him that Russia had chosen to moderate its response to those sanctions as a result of his request."
"On or about December 22, 2016, FLYNN did not ask the Russian Ambassador to delay the vote on or defeat a pending United Nations Security Council resolution; and that the Russian Ambassador subsequently never described to FLYNN Russias response to his request.
Kushner wasnt a dumbass...he had his lawyer with him . This Flynn turned out to be quite the idiot...he didnt even have to talk to the FBI if he didnt want too...the guy has an ego and thought he was smarter than everyone.
ummm....people, there was an actual crime in watergate from day 1!!!.a break in..5 burglars...names of them...rememeber??...geez.
The first break-in to place the recording microphones or the second break-in to recover the nude pictures of John Dean’s wife?
My point is that Nixon had nothing to do with it and didn’t even know about it. It was Dean who pled guilty to lesser charges in exchange for testimony against Nixon that resulted in Nixon’s resignation.
The best reference I know of is “Silent Coup,” by Len Colodny and Robert Gettlin.
If one ever had such a silly notion, they are now free to drop it.
