Speaks for itself. I'm glad my dad died before all this crap started happening. He was a loyal Democrat and a staunch Catholic, and the contradictions between the two would have destroyed him, one way or the other.

Not to speak ill of him, but if your dad was a “loyal Democrat,” then he would have played along with any such nonsense that the party dictated, no matter how surreal and ridiculous.

I’ve known several such old-time Democrats, and they refused to acknowledge the open truth for the Party’s sake.
