Joe Barton attempted to act in a responsible manner in the production of the pornographic pictures he took of himself, but his former intimate partner violated her trust and the law by publishing Barton’s self produced porn.
Rep. Barton is a crime victim.
“Barton publicly apologized for what he described as consensual sexual relationships with multiple women while separated from his former wife. That marriage — Barton’s second — ended in 2015.”
If this was true, why would he apologize?

He chooses re-erection over re-election.
He looked like the Pilsbury Doughboy,
but spoke like “The most interesting Texan in the world”.
He expresses himself very well, and would make an interesting character in a movie, but had become too careless, too unprofessional to stay in his elected position.

I hear what you’re saying and don’t disagree with it. But it must be difficult to remain a public figure when your junk has been publicly displayed in the media. Barton is an old fat guy so it was a rather pathetic photo. I would not recommend looking at the photo since you can’t unsee it once you’ve done that.
The fact that he even took such a pathetic photo and sent it to someone indicates to me the guy is losing it. Legal? Sure. But he is an embarrassing fool. Texas can do better and glad to see him go.
And there’s more to this story than just the picture. He’s also been caught texting crude remarks to other women as well. He needs to step down now.
All of this is going to keep increasing the pressure on the President. Several women made charges against him (as a private citizen) but this thing has spiraled out of control. His accusers will come back big time to try to force him out.
Barton did something very stupid, not illegal or violating any rules of the House. He was going through a divorce. Those on our side still believe in feeling ashamed if we do something bad or wrong. The Dems have no such sense of shame. Barton leaving is the right thing to do.
For all we know, Joe Barton had a life long goal of creating a Fat Old Man Self Stimulating Porn empire and because his work was reseased to the public before Barton’s film’s release in theateres , Barton lost out on all the perks and profits of being a Fat OLd Man Self Stimulating Porn Star.
Term limits is what we need...

Barton is the same as an average Republican in Congress.
Given the fact that Texas is a conservative state, they can do much better than Barton.
Maybe the picture/video of Barton was released by the Russian hacker Ivan Beatinov.

As far as I can tell - he’s a victim of revenge porn.
I’ve thought he was a loser ever since 1994 when he opposed term limits.... in a town meeting, he said being a congressman was the same as being a self employed entrepreneur.
