Army veteran accuses Franken of groping her during USO tour

An Army veteran is accusing Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) of inappropriately touching her during a USO tour in 2003 while she was deployed in Kuwait.

Stephanie Kemplin told CNN that Franken cupped her breast while she was taking a photo with him.

She told the network she met Franken when he was visiting troops on a USO tour and wanted to take a photo with him.

"When he put his arm around me, he groped my right breast. He kept his hand all the way over on my breast," Kemplin said.

"I've never had a man put their arm around me and then cup my breast. So he was holding my breast on the side."

She said she remembers "clenching up."

"And I remember thinking -- is he going to move his hand? Was it an accident? Was he going to move his hand? He never moved his hand," she said.

"It was long enough that he should have known if it was an accident. I'm very confident saying that."

Kemplin said she moved her body before the photo was taken.

A spokesperson for Franken said in a statement that the Minnesota Democrat takes "thousands of photos and has met tens of thousands of people."

"He has never intentionally engaged in this kind of conduct," the spokesperson said. "He remains fully committed to cooperating with the ethics investigation."

Franken has been accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct.

A Los Angeles broadcaster earlier this month said Franken kissed and groped her without her consent during a USO tour. Other women have come forward to allege Franken touched them inappropriately during photos.

Earlier this week, Franken said he would work to regain people's trust following the allegations, adding "this will not happen again going forward."

“I know I’m going to have to be much more conscious in these circumstances, much more careful, much more sensitive, and that this will not happen again going forward,” Franken told dozens of reporters outside of his Capitol Hill office.

“Again, it’s going to take a long time for me to regain people’s trust, but I hope that starting work today that I can start to do that,” he added.

He has become a useful example for Conservatives.

So expect Franken to enter a re education boot camp and then co sponsor a few LGBT and feminist bills in the senate as penance for his sexist mcp transgressions.

This recent stampede of stories helps explain the bizarre, decades-long attacks by male politicians, actors and the media on manhood and masculinity - they think normal men must be just like them.

News flash for the freaks who gravitate to Hollywood, TV studios and Capitol Hill - most of us who actually do real work for a living do not routinely whip it out at work and ask female co-workers to perform sex acts on us, nor do we have secret buttons to lock women in our offices so we can rape them until they black out. We also do not reach down to grab the rear of every random woman who stands next to us for a picture.

The self-appointed elites who entertain or consume tax dollars for their living seem to have a serious issue with sexual obsession, boundaries, and non-consensual sex acts. Face the problem, fix yourselves, do your jail time and stop projecting your weird personal problems onto the rest of us men.

I wonder too why these “ladies” aren’t fighting back and telling these pervs where to get off—I am a 100 pound lady lawyer, been around mainly men all my life. I am not taking any of that kind of guff lying down, and I am not married to any particular job. There are other jobs. And I don’t particularly care whether anyone believes me or not. If I say it happened, it happened. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.

One of Lauer’s accusers said he told her to unbutton her blouse, which she did, and then he bent her over his desk and had sex with her (she was even married). Why did she participate? There was apparently no force involved. She just did it, and now, some time later, she is complaining about it. I don’t get it. There are lines you don’t cross, even to keep your job.

I don’t get why these women are letting men get away with this. In the case above, it appears to me she was a willing participant. I unconditionally condemn rape, but why, if the actions are so insulting, don’t the women handle it then instead of waiting years to make an accusation? There are probably thousands of lawyers who would love to sue a major television network on behalf of these women.
