Schulz’ widow lost a lot of his original art in the recent Sonoma fires. Don’t know if that included animation cels.
Thank God the Grinch-like executives at CBS chose to air the special back in 1965. If it had been left to their gut instincts, we would have one fewer national treasure to cherish come Christmastime

Mr. Schulz built an ice arena in Santa Rosa which survived, I’ve been told that a lot of his work was stored there, hopefully most of it.
