Theresa May condemns Donald Trump for retweeting anti-Muslim hate videos from the British far-right

LONDON — Theresa May has condemned U.S. President Donald Trump for retweeting Islamophobic videos about Muslims posted by a leader of the British far-right.

A spokesman for the prime minister said that it was "wrong" for Trump to have broadcast the footage to his 46 million Twitter followers this morning.

May's spokesman told a press briefing attended by Business Insider: "Britain first seeks to divide communities through their use of hateful narratives which peddle lies and stoke tensions. They cause anxiety to law abiding people.

"British people overwhelmingly reject the prejudice of the far-right, which it is the antithesis of the values that this country represents: decency tolerance and respect. It is wrong for the President to have done this."

Thanks Berlin_Freeper. May was put into that PM job via the smoke-filled room process, and she was put there to drag her feet and those of her party on Brexit. Cameron had led the party to an outright majority in Parliament, then he resigned, and Boris Johnson was frozen out of the PM job in favor of May. May, in her never-ending drive to drag her party into irrelevance, called early elections -- while her party held an outright majority.

I disagree that PM Theresa May represents the will of the citizens of the U.K. The U.K. Prime Minister of is not directly elected by the citizens of the U.K. First the Prime Minister has to be elected as a Member of Parliament in the House of Commons (stinky peasants) by their local constituency (like a congressman in the U.S. House of Representatives). After that the House of Commons elects from their own a candidate to present to Her Royal Majesty the Queen for Appointment. Many of the Prime Minister's executive and legislative powers are actually royal prerogatives which are still formally vested in the Sovereign, who remains the head of state. Legally the Sovereign can sack the Prime Minister at any time.

Therefor Theresa May represents more the choice of royalty, the aristocracy, and the ultra-rich rather than the people - just like the U.S Senate Majority Leader.

The assault on facts, free speech, and the freedom of the Internet is driven by fear, not confidence. The global establishment's dam is leaking and when it is breached, there will be a lot of members from the “Old Families” either dead or in prison.
