Award shows are so 1980s - they have evolved into Social Warrior events - Standing up to THE MAN and speaking TRUTH TO POWER.

Meanwhile those that might have tuned in are not going to bother.

The 80’s the awards shows were fun. I haven't watched one in decades. Plus they practically have one every week. Is it any wonder that these shows are losing viewers. It is overkill. They should have 1 country award show, 1 Grammy show, the Emmy's and the Oscars and that is it. They have at least 50 a year. Ok if you want to add Nickelodeon for the kids fine.

TRUTH? They wouldn't know the truth if it bit them on the tuchus! "Hands up, don't shoot"- lie. White cops killing inordinate numbers of innocent blacks- lie. Workplace discrimination rampant- lie. Whitey's fault for the 70+% illegitimacy rate in the black community- lie. No jobs- lie. Poor education because of lack of funding in black schools- lie. Add as many of your own as you wish.
