Aren't non-Hispanics allowed to run for this seat? There’s no point for a non-Hispanic to run. It’s one of the most heavily gerrymandered districts in the entire country, take a look at the picture if you dare: Luis’ District
The Democrats who run Illinois cleaved together a Mexican majority area with a Puerto Rican majority area located in different sections of Chicago to create a district only an Hispanic can win.
Of course you have all the liberal watchdog groups that have filed suit over every district that republican legislatures created also challenging this monstrosity, right?
