We have a lot of love for Star Trek: Discovery's Captain Gabriel Lorca. He's mysterious, stylish and brave enough to keep a Tribble on his desk what's not to like?
Unfortunately, that's a sentiment that Captain James T Kirk himself doesn't appear to agree with, as William Shatner has unceremoniously blocked Jason Isaacs on Twitter.
Ouch.

Here’s the dirty little secret:
They’re not actually starship captains.
They’re actors.
Is there any way to see the new Star Trek series without paying a fee to NBC?
You mean, those aren’t UNIFORMS, but are only COSTUMES?
:)
That’s just a sad rumor. I believe. Clap your hands.
I Galaxy Quest. I know it’s real.
Home captain with a tribble on his desk... Richard Gere is jealous.
A Mugato. I had to look it up I couldn’t remember the name.
Poor #NeverTrumper had his wittle feewings hurt....
No video of the hot Kanutu woman?
I loved the old series. I have seen every episode multiple times. I even caught the first “sneak peak” episode, which aired a week before the series officially started. I was in 7th grade and the episode was “man trap”.
But a funny thing happened. Amazon Prime offers the series for free, including enhanced “exterior shots” using modern CGI. I have not watched the show in the last 20 years, but I was shocked at just how incredibly bad that show was. It’s awful!
The concept behind many of the episodes is really great, but everything else just sucks, and I mean bad. I’m not talking about special affects. Of course they are bad. And I’m not talking about the special effects. They are kinda charming in their low budget execution. It’s what you’d expect from a show like that at that time.
What I’m talking about is the actual execution of the concepts. Most of the stories are just not well written, the dialog sucks and the acting is just really bad. The “jokes” are only funny to an avid viewer that lives and breathes that crew and their interaction, and even then, could have been far superior.
I found even some of my old beloved episodes difficult to sit through.
I had the opposite experience with Twilight Zone, btw (also available for free on amazon prime. Simple sets, sure, but excellent storytelling, good scripts and some really good acting.
You got it! :)
“And considering Jason is one of the most outspoken and inventive critics of President Trump on Twitter at the moment..”
That is why
My favorite line: “Didn’t any of you actually WATCH the show?!”
A ha!
Soooo, I will NOT be betting 400 quatloos on the newcomers.
And I will NOT be participating in the festival.
A close second:
Guy, you HAAAVE a name!
DO I?? DO I??
