After multiple groping allegations against Sen. Al Franken, the Minnesota Democrat says he knows he did wrong, but will not resign.
"I've learned from these stories that in some of these encounters I have crossed the line for some women,” he told Minnesota Public Radio News.
"I'm going to do my job and I'm going to go forward," he added. "I'm going to take responsibility. I'm going to be held accountable and I'm going to try to be productive in the way I speak about this."
Franken hoped to “be a better man” after the experience and said Leeann Tweeden, the sports broadcaster who accused the senator of kissing and groping her without her consent, had every right to feel violated.
The photo of him holding his hands up against her breasts while she was asleep wearing a flak vest was “inexcusable” he said.
"I am ashamed of that photo," Franken said. "You know she didn't have any ability to consent. She had every right to feel violated by that photo."
As for other women who have come forward saying Franken touched them inappropriately while taking photos, the senator he’s “someone who, you know, hugs people.”
"I've learned from these stories that in some of these encounters I have crossed the line for some women,” he added.
But he couldn't say whether more women would come forward.
"This has been a shock to me."
He also said he does not have plans to step down.
"The Ethics Committee is looking into all of this and I will cooperate fully with it," he said. "I know I have a lot of work to do to regain the trust of people I've let down."

How is a devout Democrat supposed to handle it? Franken's in a tough place because he's (sob) being forced to balance all those liberal principles that contradict each other.
It can get confusing for a liberal.
Al actually has to defend one of his cupped and cockeyed slutty victims...... against the liberal cop-out, the handy liberal principle of not being held accountable for the terrible things they do.

Sticking his tongue into that person’s unwilling mouth is the only “serious” offense we’ve heard of so far. Grabbing a butt for one second in public doesn’t warrant the most extreme condemnations.
No consequences for his actions. This dweeb has been pulling this “cop of feel” behavior all his life, just like the other nerds out there like Weinstein, etc.
Why is it that you never hear that Clint Eastwood, or Mel Gibson, or Hugh Jackman ever groped someone? Why, because when it comes down to it, it’s the women who initiate the romance. The woman tells you it’s okay and she’s the one who flirts.
In the case of Franken and the others, the women were turned off by these guys.
The guy should resign. Plain and simple.
Turn this to your advantage by hinting that the sheer number of charges just means you’re a total player....and cupping is your thing!
When responding to the charges, make sure your statement doesn’t actually admit any wrongdoing. Instead, you’ll want to describe how you are “friendly” and “a hugger,” and how you are sorry these misguided women took offense by misinterpreting your innocent gestures of support for them in their struggle against patriarchy by cupping their breasts and feeling-up their *****.
Al, your message is that your accusers are all frosty nuts who can’t deal with a real man, or even a liberal one.
Be sure to close out your non-apology apology by making sure your liberal pals know that you’re still an asset. You saw how they tossed Slick Willy under the bus when he and Hillary von Pantsuit stopped being useful.
Subtly imply that these fussy women should have shut up.
You yourself can bravely took one for the liberal team by reiterating your worshipful support for icing unborn babies, opposing violence against women, embracing diversity and globalism... then throw in a shot at the NRA and right-wing brutality for good measure.

Contrast that with Senator Roy Moore whose been married since 1984.

“I have crossed the line for some women” he says now, when to hear him and his fellow travelers before the stuff hit the fan, they never got anywhere near that line. He and his buddies set themselves up as the very picture of virtue, fully understanding of women’s sensitivities.
I think his best defense is that he has always been a creep.

I don't think I read, "I'm SORRY," in any of his comments.
